Ground supports are highly recommended by the engineer and the manufacturer for structure stability on carports and buildings that are taller than 8’ (open or enclosed). They are made up of 8’ straight tubing, out of this 5’ is attached to the building and 3’ goes into the ground with a 12” wide x 36” deep concrete pier.
